This store is a hidden treasure chest... a book lover's dream!!! We loved our time wandering around and getting lost between all the shelves and rooms. Lucky for me I even found the Stephen King novel I was looking for (at an unbeatable price)! You should definitely visit!!!!!

Visited this book store while exploring Saratoga Springs and fell absolutely in love. The young woman at the front desk was a doll to speak with and even let me take photos with my camera - thank you so much! You can tell there is a lot of history that exists between the store's walls... and especially on them. Definitely recommend this gem to anyone who is looking for a book store experience that has a more local/small business vibe and not so corporate.

A wonderful bookshop curated for used and rare books, a lot of which were in great condition! Take note that there is no new selections in stock, however there's another incredible indie bookstore up the street if that's what you're in the market for. Lyrical Ballad has a huge selection of unique used books... I even saw a SIGNED first edition unedited copy of "The Name of the Wind" (if only I had an extra $775 to blow), and a great collection of prints, records, and old postcards to pick through. So glad we were in the area and stopped.

This is my favorite unique old bookstore. I can get lost in this store for hours. I always find a few treasures and most recently a collection of children’s books. Absolutely love this little business. #lyricalballadbookstore

This place really does go on and on! Loaded with great used books, records, playbills, sheet music, art prints, books ends, and more! We only had 30 minutes to rush through it but it was a treasure trove. Highly recommend stoping by when you are in Saratoga Springs!

This bookstore is amazing, honestly. Sometimes you go into a used bookstore and immediately know you’re only going to find old paperback Daniel Steele novels for $0.50 with the corner of the cover torn off. This place, though, has treasure troves of niche books and forgotten tomes. I snagged myself a hardcover bound Harper’s Weekly periodical from the 1890’s and it was just a super cool find. It’s a bit disorganized but I think it adds to the charm.

Amazing books both new and old. It really does feel like a maze inside. They have a great organization system and the staff are so kind and helpful. I can't wait to go back!

Love it here. Great selection, and great prices. One of the workers saw the books I was carrying, and went and found some new books that had just come in, and let me know they were available if I wanted. I love that kind of service and will definitely be back

My FAVORITE bookstore -- Saratoga's best kept gem.<3 This bookstore is truly one of the most beautiful in the world. I've been going to this bookstore ever since I was young, and loved browsing the winding shelves and gawking at the old and rare books. This bookstore (which means so much to me) was kind enough to let me take both my wedding and engagement photos, and I couldn't be happier to have these photos that will last a lifetime. Thank you, Lyrical Ballad, for being my go-to spot in Saratoga and such a special place on my special day.

A wonderful maze of books. Room after room of shelves to the ceiling, cases full of old or rare books, an entire bank vault of precious tomes. The smell is intoxicating. They have thousands organized alpha-by-author, genres, and age. They also have prints, vinyl, bookends, and a selection of bargain books. The proprietors are friendly and helpful, and like all good book stores, the patrons are eager to help too. I went for a short hour yesterday, and have blocked out another two today - and I'm sure I'll have barely scratched the surface. It's just off the main drag, on a cozy side street, according to the rules of great locations. Can't wait to go back!
